How it work
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy delivers high-energy acoustic pressure waves into targeted tissues, creating mechanical stimulation that triggers biological responses within the treatment area. This stimulation may promote local blood circulation, support tissue remodeling and help break down calcific deposits, thereby supporting the body’s natural repair processes and pain management.
Ultrasound Therapy
Therapeutic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create mechanical vibrations within targeted tissues. These acoustic waves can produce thermal and non-thermal effects, helping increase local blood flow, support tissue metabolism and promote soft tissue repair while reducing muscle and tissue stiffness.
Why Combine Shockwave + Ultrasound?
Shockwave therapy and therapeutic ultrasound provide different levels and forms of mechanical stimulation, allowing practitioners to select the appropriate treatment approach according to the target tissue, condition and treatment objective.
Shockwave therapy provides stronger mechanical stimulation and is particularly suited to chronic tendon, fascia, trigger-point and musculoskeletal applications.
Therapeutic ultrasound provides controlled acoustic energy for a gentler approach to muscles, tendons and other soft tissues.
By integrating both modalities into one system, practitioners can choose the appropriate therapy for different treatment requirements without relying on a single therapeutic approach.
Commonly Used for
Chronic Tendon & Fascia Conditions
For conditions such as tennis and golfer’s elbow, patellar tendinopathy, Achilles tendon pain, plantar fasciitis and tendinitis, shockwave therapy delivers targeted mechanical stimulation that may promote local circulation and support tissue remodeling and natural repair processes. Therapeutic ultrasound provides a gentler option for surrounding tendons and soft tissues, helping reduce stiffness and support tissue recovery. This makes the system suitable for patients with persistent or overuse-related tendon and fascia problems, with treatment focused on pain management, improved mobility and functional recovery.
Joint & Chronic Musculoskeletal Conditions
For knee osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, chronic neck and back pain and other musculoskeletal complaints, shockwave therapy provides mechanical stimulation to the targeted area to support local circulation and pain management, while therapeutic ultrasound can be used to address surrounding muscle and soft tissue stiffness. Treatment can help reduce discomfort, improve mobility and support rehabilitation, making it suitable for patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain, stiffness or movement limitations.
Muscle & Soft Tissue Conditions
For soft tissue injuries, chronic strains and sprains, muscular trigger points, myositis and bursitis, therapeutic ultrasound delivers controlled acoustic energy that produces mechanical vibration and thermal or non-thermal effects within the tissues, helping support circulation, tissue metabolism and soft tissue recovery. Shockwave therapy can also provide stronger mechanical stimulation for persistent trigger points and localized muscular problems, helping reduce tension and discomfort while supporting restoration of normal movement.
Sports Injuries & Recovery
For overuse injuries, tendon stress, strains, sprains and sports-related muscle or soft tissue problems, practitioners can select shockwave or therapeutic ultrasound according to the affected tissue and stage of rehabilitation. Shockwave therapy is particularly useful for persistent tendon, fascia and musculoskeletal problems, while ultrasound provides a more controlled approach for muscles and soft tissues. Together in one system, they give practitioners greater flexibility to support pain management, tissue recovery, mobility and a gradual return to physical activity.

Usage Methods & Recommendations
- Use Coupling Gel
Apply an appropriate amount of coupling gel or lubricant to the treatment area before use. During treatment, take care to prevent the gel or lubricant from entering the working head. - Avoid Prolonged Continuous Operation
Although the working head is designed to reduce vibration, prolonged continuous use may still cause hand fatigue or strain. Take appropriate breaks during extended treatment sessions. - Replace Worn Applicator Heads
The applicator heads are consumable components and should be inspected regularly and replaced when worn or when their performance deteriorates. - Replace the Internal Projectile When Required
The metal projectile inside the shockwave handpiece is a wear component and should be replaced after approximately 2 million impacts or when excessive wear is observed. - Cleaning the Filter Cup
Place absorbent paper beneath the filter cup before draining. Lift the valve carefully to release any accumulated liquid. If necessary, remove the filter cup by turning it counterclockwise. After cleaning, reinstall and tighten it by turning clockwise.
